Description:
The exhibition »Happy in Berlin? English writers in the 1920s and 1930s« – a collaboration between Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Oxford University and Literaturhaus Berlin – invites visitors to map the presence of English writers such as Virginia Woolf, Alix Strachey and Christopher Isherwood in Berlin’s cosmopolitan cafés, famous scientific institutes, avant-garde cinemas and seedy cabarets.
Beside the exhibition design, which was developed together with Raby-Florence Fofana a digital collection of englisch writers and their key-places in the city has been developed as a continued website.
