The Zukunftslabor (Future Lab), a project by The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, is the world’s only residential community that features a world-class orchestra and a comprehensive school. Students and professional musicians meet as equals in the middle of a district in Bremen-Tenever, characterized by high-rise buildings and child poverty. Within this framework, the major project Stadtteil-Oper is put up every one to two years. Pupils, teachers, and musicians of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen work, under professional guidance, on a music theatre production within the context of the district. The job was to develop the visual identity for an event which was visually based on the appearance of the Zukunftslabor and thematically based on the theatrical production.
